Claims Process

At Florida Family, we understand that every claim is unique. Our insurance claims process can help resolve your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible through a number of easy steps.

You can report your insurance claim a number of ways:

Once your insurance claim is reported, you will be issued a claim number.

You will be contacted by one of our professional claims representatives. If necessary, they will schedule an appointment with you to inspect your damages. Your assigned insurance claims representative will be able to answer all your questions concerning your Florida claim and associated damages.

For most claims, the claims representative will meet you at your home, take photographs of your damages, and write a repair estimate. During this time, please provide any receipts or invoices for any temporary repairs you may have made. A great majority of insurance claims are settled on the initial inspection, saving you time and allowing you to start the repair process right away.

If needed, the insurance claims representative will direct you to a contractor that can repair your home. For larger losses, the claims representative may need to involve other professionals, such as an engineer. A report will be sent to the insurance claims department for review and payment.
